Mary Ann Casinelli-Tindall, K2 Teacher
I'm a graduate of Emerson College, with a degree in Communications. Teaching is a second career for me. After working nearly 20 years in the legal field, I decided to pursue a degree in special education. I've taught as a special educator, general classroom teacher, first grade teacher, and Title I instructional specialist. My work in special ed has afforded me the opportunity to work extensively with children who have a variety of learning styles and challenges. I love finding ways to help students achieve personal success. I feel blessed to be able to work with Kindergardeners at this stage of my career, and to be working at this incredible Academy!

Daphne Marcelin, Teacher Assistant
I’m the youngest member of a family of 8. I came to the United States from Haiti in January, 2002. I graduated from Hyde Park High School in 2005. After high school, I took basic college courses at Roxbury Community College and Bunker Hill Community College. Thereafter I received my teaching certificate in Early Childhood Education. I began my career with children as a volunteer for St. Kevin School and Lena Park School. I went on to work for KinderCare, and then, in 2009, I began as a mental health assistant at The Judge Rotenberg Center. I also began attending classes in early childhood education at Massasoit Community College where I eventually received my Associate Degree, as well as my EEC Certification. I am now working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education at UMass Boston. I have been working here at SJP since October, 2011. I began as a substitute teacher in grade K1, and shortly thereafter was offered a teacher assistant position. I'm proud to have been working for SJP ever since .
